Mitchell Studios is pleased to present Landscapes Glenn Ashworth’s new body of work and his last New Zealand show before he emigrates to Australia.

I’m working within a methodology which treats viewing art as an act of composition, working in the belief that the viewer’s narrative is integral to the piece. Because of this, my process is often about stripping information out of the work, focusing primarily on negative and liminal space as the vehicle for engagement. This methodology stems from my 2019 Masters research. The new body of work, Landscapes, is very local. Most of the boards are shelving I repurposed during a local studio refit in Ngaio and the base landscape forms are all part of our day to day.
