Bruce Ingoe

Bruce Ingoe says he tends to paint landscapes of the familiar that are often overlooked, trying to capture the moment that has interested him, to show the viewer the beauty they may have passed by. A view across the harbour or a sunset over the back fence – all part of our everyday surroundings. His paintings are a mix of studio work and items painted en plein air – on location, in the elements and worked in quick time to trap the image before the movement of the sun, a change in the weather or moving shadows and changing colours steal it away.
