Casual Worker by Hannah Schickedanz

“I am a fine artist, illustrator and designer, creating art from my home studio in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington, New Zealand. Having worked as a graphic designer for over 20 years, a strong sense of composition flows through to my more recent creative outlets. Whether I’m working on oil paintings, sculpture, or illustration, my work is filled with nostalgia and whimsy. Memories, objects, and stories handed down from parents and grandparents – or handed up from my children – feature alongside handcrafted bits and pieces from half-remembered summer holidays. When you put a piece of my art on your walls, know that it is made for you to daydream over. I have left space for you – I hope you enjoy weaving your own story between my brushstrokes.”
Curate: a Small Works Exhibition
Mitchell Studios is once again delighted to be collaborating with our interior design partners at Tate Design to present our December group exhibition – Curate. This small works exhibition brings together a diverse group of New Zealand artists drawn from our existing gallery whanau and beyond. Each artist has been invited to submit a maximum of 3 artworks.
