“My Botanical Cafe Series is inspired by the unique ways in which flowers are used in our lovely local cafes around Wellington. It is also a shout out to the small businesses who have been doing it tough. I know my local cafes have been a saviour in my busy life whether it be slowing down and resting my feet or brain or just quickly picking up my lunch! I will stop, take photos or collect memories of the botanicals in that space. Some of the work is representational but some is more about the feeling evoked in that time and space of my favourite cafes.” Jenny Caldwell

Jenny Caldwell trained and worked in the advertising and Design (PGDip Des, DipVISCOM) industry in NZ and UK for 12 years before turning her creative talents towards designing innovative courses and teaching Design, painting and printmaking. Jenny’s art is inspired by a love of contemporary and old fashioned flowers and objects.
