Maria Elizabeth is an artist who has lived in the northern Wellington Suburbs for a number of years. Originally trained in Graphic Design, she started illustrating during the covid lockdown of 2020. Maria experimented with both colour and ink pens but eventually decided to concentrate on monochrome imagery. The Molotow blackliner 0.05mm pens she uses allow for highly detailed illustrations with depth and personality. Her illustrations utilise her own photography, reflecting her love of the native fauna and flora of New Zealand.
